Biological Database at MML, SJTU

The Genomics
& Bioinformatics Group,
in the State Key Laboratory of Microbial metabolism (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), focuses on bacterial
genome mining by using comparative analysis approaches, combiming bioinformatics
and molecular biology experimental techniques. Our researches aim to discover
novel laterally acquired mobilome (mobile genome), such as genomics islands,
and elucidate their role in the bacterial evolution. Recently we have been
investigating genomic mosaicism of Streptomyces, Klebsiella pneumoniae,
Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Salmonella enterica. |
| Recently, four biological database related to mobilome have been developed and under maintenance by the Genomics & Bioinformatics Group at MML, SJTU. These database will reside on a high-performance four-slot four-way server, equipped with four six-core XEON E7-4807 1.86GHz processors and 64GB Memory. Some ongoing institutional and external grant support will guarantee the long-term viability of these online biological resources we host at MML, SJTU. |
